Lake Aeration Treatment

Just as human beings need oxygen to live, so do many members of a healthy aquatic ecosystem.  Most beneficial microorganisms and higher life forms require elevated bottom dissolved oxygen levels, to survive and convert accumulated organics and minerals into biomass, which can then be consumed by even higher life forms.

A correctly applied fine bubble diffuser system will increase dissolved oxygen (DO) levels between the surface and bottom waters by providing the missing link, “oxygen” and delivering it to the bottom of the water column where it is needed most. ADS’ fine bubble diffusers can rejuvenate water quality in all freshwater applications, including lakes, ponds, drinking water reservoirs, retention basins, rivers, canals, marinas, etc. By diffusing oxygen from the bottom, our fine bubble aeration systems create currents of rising and falling water, mixing and oxygenating the entire water column.  Additional benefits include;

ADS Lake Aeration Treatment Advantages

  • Simple design,  installation, and operation - one moving part
  • Custom designed for each application
  • Healthier aquatic eco-system
  • Improved water quality, clarity, and taste
  • Enhanced settling/oxidation of Fe, Mn, and other minerals
  • Minimizes fish kills
  • Destratification of the entire water column
  • Reduces spring and fall turnover
  • Reduction of algae and harmful and Harmful Algal Blooms
  • Reduction of chemical treatments
  • Reduction and reversal of eutrophic conditions
  • Reduction of odors including hydrogen sulfide
The ADS fine bubble aeration system has improved water clarity, minmized algae, reduced the sludge layer, and prevented fish kills since it was first installed in 2012. We are very pleased with the performance of this sytem and would recommend it to for any lake or reservoir searching for a natural and sustainable solution.
